PSM Consulting started off as S-80 Systems with the unveiling of the IBM XT pc. We were supporting a small company that contracted with the Lighthouse for the Blind to build a product for them. The first system was an inventory management system and a billing system.
Tailored System was created in the late 1980's and was primarily involved with developing a tracking system for the State of Washington Insurance Commission. The company defined the requirements, Designed the system, Developed and implemented the system for the Consumer protection division.
During this time our company was also involved with Microsoft Beta testing products such as Excel, Project, Visio and Front Page. During this era we became more involved with project management and Web site development. Our work with Project changed the direction of the company and we moved more into Project Management and Requirements definition. At this time we also changed the name of the company to Project Services Management.
In 2002 after retiring from Boeing we started doing consulting and training in the field of Project Management. Still maintaining our involvement with web development and our associations with Microsoft. Around 2005 we split the company into several divisions. One of the divisions was for web development and the other was for Project Management. We shortened the name to PSM Consulting and both divisions are still using this name today.
